The property is certainly limited mobility friendly and we welcome limited mobility guests. We have one-bedroom and two-bedroom purpose built Limited Mobility Unit’s on-site, designed with full accessibility in mind.
There are accessible bathrooms in reception, our amenity blocks and the on-site Bistro. Our reception and most on-site facilities are limited mobility friendly. We also have limited mobility car parking at various locations around the property including the Bistro and the grounds have well-sealed and maintained roads and paths.
Our on-site Adelaide Hills Convention Centre is also fully equipped for limited mobility guests with limited mobility parking, access ramps both outside and in, accessible bathrooms on both levels as well as a lift between both levels of the centre.
Our staff will also assist our limited mobility guests in any way necessary. Being located on a hill, guests will require their own transport to travel to and from their accommodation if not able to walk up the hill. If available, our staff can transport guests to their accommodation upon check-in. We recommend Regional SA Taxis for limited mobility transport. We can provide their contact details in reception.
We offer a small amount of items at reception office such as Wine, Beer, Ice, Ice Creams and the local Newspaper. There is a vending machine with food items and drinks located in the Camp Kitchen as well as a Coffee Machine. A large fruit & veg shop is conveniently located opposite the park with all your fresh food needs.
Hahndorf Resort Tourist Park is 1.5km from Hahndorf Village, it takes 15-20 minutes to walk.
Hahndorf Resort Tourist Park is pet friendly in the Caravan and camping sites only. Pets are strictly prohibited from staying in our accommodation. Pets are subject to Manager’s discretion.
For all accommodation bookings we require a $100 pre-authorisation on a credit card before issuing the room key, this is to cover any incidentals and the $100 is held on your credit card for 3-10 business days. Alternatively you can provide a $100 cash bond which is returned to you on your departure date after your room is quickly checked by staff.
Smoking is not permitted inside accommodation or under covered areas. A fee will incur if accommodation has a smoke smell.
We are situated on a hill and some of our sites are more level than others, we ask you to be prepared on arrival as you may be required to use levelling blocks to achieve a perfectly levelled position for your caravan.
A minimum one night deposit is required at time of booking. We do not hold bookings without deposits.
Our caravan and camping sites have limited shade as many older gum trees had to be felled due to safety and the new trees planted are not yet established.
Most of our rooms have a kettle, toaster, and microwave and bar fridge. There are specific room types that offer cooking facilities, these are the Limited Mobility Units, Family Cottages and houses. Guests cannot bring electric frypans into rooms that do not offer cooking facilities.
Please see Park Map for locations of Amenities. There are 2 x Amenities blocks, one at the top of the hill next to the Camp Kitchen, and one at the bottom of the hill.
Yes, there is the Three Gums Bistro on-site located at the top of the tourist park. It is open for meals Wednesday through Sunday, bookings are essential please phone 8388 1144. Take away meals are also available.
The closest supermarket is a short drive approx. 2 minutes, or a 20min stroll along the Main Street of Hahndorf. See reception for directions.
There is a local bus service that goes through Hahndorf into Adelaide City. Bus stop 52 is conveniently located at the entrance to our park. It is a 45 minute bus ride.
We can arrange a late arrival for you, all fees must be paid in full to have a late arrival. Please contact reception on the day of arrival to let us know your arrival time and we can arrange for a late key collection.
Park day visitors are welcome, only when visiting a guest staying with us at the Hahndorf Resort. Visitors are asked to sign-in and register at our reception upon arrival. A fee of $5.00 per person is to be paid on arrival which will give visitors full use of the Resort facilities. A wrist band is issued and is to be worn at all times on-site.
We have a modern indoor camp kitchen. There are 2 ovens with cook tops, a kettle, toaster and a fridge for your convenience. Indoor and outdoor chairs and tables are also provided.
We do have a small playground located in the park for small children. We also have complimentary mini golf, a jumping cushion and giant chess set for the young and old to enjoy.
We have two BBQ’s located under pergola areas. They are free to use, we just ask that you clean up after each use.
Yes we have free WIFI available. You need an access code which you can pick up from Reception during office hours.
All linen in supplied to all beds, including towels.
Bike riding is not allowed on the pathways, around units or amenities areas in the park. Bikes can be ridden with care on the roads through the park. A helmet must be worn at all times. Care should be taken of others using the paths. There are numerous bike trails throughout the area.
Check in is 2pm for accommodation and 12 noon for Caravan sites.
Check out is 10am for both accommodation and sites.
Depending on availability late check outs and early check ins can be arranged for a fee.
We do not allow smoking.
Dogs are welcome in our Caravan Park only. Pets are not permitted during peak periods such as Easter and in the Christmas and January holidays. Acceptance of any dog or pet at all other times, is entirely at the discretion of Management.
